The Neighborhood
Riverwalk to Staveley (45 mins) is pretty and has lovely cafes (more? Recommended) coffee (Mr Duffins) where they roast the coffee in the shop! (Eagle and Child) good pub food. Delicious Gelato shop! Cycle shop, butchers and convenience store.
Getting Around
You really need to have a car to explore the area to the full. Though there are buses that explore many areas (about a mile walk to nearest stop) and there is a train station in Burneside (1 mile away) which does connect with the west coast mainline at Oxenholme.
