About this listing
We do not allow pets of any kind. I don't recommend children as the house is not children friendly. There are several glass tables and cabinets in the house. This house was built by my mother who dedicated her life to Jehovah at the young age of seventy six. Aside from updating some of the living room furniture, the house is exactly the way she left it. There are needle points on the wall all completely done by my mother. I am just 1 block away. I know you will love it here as much as I have.

Guest Access
After your reservation is booked and paid for, a few days before your arrival you'll receive a text message with your private code for entry. I can also meet you there if you have a more specific time but you will still receive a code..
The entire house is yours including the fenced-in backyard and screened porch. We have someone taking care of the grass or it will be my son and myself. We will be available to you 24/7. You are welcome to work with us in service anytime.
We do not have garbage pick up, so if you are able to take your trash with you, great. If not, please leave it on the garage floor, double bagged if necessary and we will pick it up. Please place your recyclables in the green bin as it will be picked up periodically. Beverage cans can be placed in the paper bag in the garage as my son collects them. I will pick up the trash as needed or after you leave.
There are Ring cameras all around the house as well as on the back porch for your safety. Several lights in the house are also on a timer, so you don't come home to a dark house at the end of a nice day. The vacuum runs on Thursdays and Sundays at noon. Sometimes she gets stuck so if you find her somewhere, please take her back home.
All of the appliances in the house are covered under a maintenance contract with Sears. Please let me know if you experience any problems immediately. Sears tends to be a little slow coming out but at least they will come.
Interaction with Guests
I live very close so if there's something you need, or I can be of help to you, I'm just a phone call away. (Unless we're in service) I have a pool at my house. If you would like to use it, we can make arrangements.
Other Things to Note
We do not allow pets of any kind. I do not recommend young children as the house is not children friendly. There are several glass tables and cabinets in the house. I try to block dates for foreign language COs in advance. Sometimes, I don't get the dates till their stay is closer. I don't see that there would be any impact on your stay, but wanted you to know just in case.
The Neighborhood
We love our neighborhood. It is a one-way in-way out neighborhood. Occasionally there's a stray dog but aside from that no real concerns. Three other families from oir congregation including myself, live in our neighborhood.
Because we're a little bit country, just outside the city, at night we get visitors. There are an occasional rabbit, raccoon, possum, armadillo, or cats that set the lights off. No audible alarms. I love watching them on the cameras and sometimes I leave a bit of food. Critters keep bugs away.
Getting Around
You'll park right in the driveway of the house. There's room for 4 cars.
We're one and a half miles away from the bus stop. One of our brothers is an uber and lyft driver. The airport is about 7 miles. Kingdom Hall is about 6 miles away. Walmart is about 1.5 miles away.

Joined in Mar 2023Our family has been living in Tallahassee for about 31 years. Previously we lived in Hollywood Florida for about twenty years. I learned the truth outside Fayetteville, North Carolina and made my dedication followed by baptism in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1976. Both of my adult sons are baptism as well. I am greatful for the privilege of being a regular pioneer. My younger son works full time as a land surveyor. He is a Ministerial servant and cares for the accounts in a nearby congregation. My older son has Aspergers and is a regular pioneer, so we spend lots of time in the rural territories of our congregation. We have 1 dog and 2 cats. We love the animals but cannot have any in the house where you will be due to the frequency of overseers serving local congregations. We love to travel whenever we can. We love to cruise but our favorite place to visit is Alaska. We also love seldom worked territory and are always looking for opportunities to go assist a congregation.
