Description
The Space
The apartment is below our main house, it is a basement type unit, but very roomy at 800 square feet. It also has plenty of light in the great room with a large windows in the kitchen and living room areas.
There are two bedrooms, one has a queen bed and the other has two twins. There is also an air mattress available.
There is a full kitchen and a stackable washer/dryer combo. We have tried to think of just about everything you might need, but if you have any questions, just ask!
Guest Access
You have access to the entire unit. It has a separate driveway from our main house so you have it all to yourself.
Interaction with Guests
There is somebody usually at home unless we are on a trip, so you'll always have someone to assist you.
We attend the Walnut Creek Congregation at the Kingdom Hall in Walnut Creek a few miles away. We are a family of four. Looking forward to hosting our brothers, but with as much or as little interaction as you would like.
The Neighborhood
Martinez is a cute little town with an old downtown area that has lots of restaurants. There is a winery called Viano right in our neighborhood, in fact you could walk to it in about 15 minutes.
Getting Around
You'll probably need a car to get around. You can use Uber/Lyft to get to public transportation though, if that's what you'd prefer. We are about 15 minutes from a BART station that will take you to Oakland/San Francisco.

Joined in Apr 2024We are a family of four - Josh, Sarah, Samantha, and Jace. We attend the Walnut Creek Congregation. We've lived in Martinez, California for about 15 years. Josh is originally from Ardmore, Oklahoma and grew up in that congregation. Sarah is from Walnut Creek, California and has been in this area her whole life. Our kids are 10 and 8. They love Disneyland and the nearby Discovery Kingdom park (Six Flags). We've been hosting this space on Airbnb for about 5 years and have hosted people from all over the world. We're looking forward to hosting some of our brothers and sisters!
