Description

The Space

It is a simply furnished and decorated apartment. Nairobi is cooler than most Westerner's think so carry some light sweaters or shawls.

Guest Access

Travelers will have access to the entire apartment.

Interaction with Guests

I will be available to assist guests during their stay.

Other Things to Note

The apartment is close to the elevators and so we would advise carrying earplugs.

The Neighborhood

The Kingdom Hall hosts two English, one Swahili, a Chinese group and an Arabic sub-group. Ngong road is easy access to Karen where there is lots to see: the Giraffe Centre, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Junction Mall which has a Masai Market (local curio market) on Thursdays. Kilimani area also has lots of restaurants that are great to go to or order in.

Getting Around

Ubers are plentiful in Nairobi and would be the preferred mode of transport. The cost is quite reasonable.

Welcome! We are Musa and Sandi and we lived and served full-time in Bethel in Nairobi for many years. We now live about half an hour from the branch office. Having served and lived in Nairobi we are very familiar with the city. When we served in Bethel, we loved taking visitors around when we had a chance. Kenya is a fascinating place and Nairobi as a city has a lot to offer. Some of the attractions and experiences you can enjoy in and around Nairobi include: • A national park • Several forests • A cultural centre • Good food from various cuisines • The elephant orphanage (Sheldrick Trust) • The giraffe centre • Local curio markets and farmer's market • And of course, wonderful field service. About us: I enjoy reading, cooking and baking. We also love to travel, walking a lot, and love visiting museums and galleries when we visit new cities. My husband Musa even has a travel blog: africanmoose.blogspot.com. We're happy to share our insights about the area.
