The Space
Blue Fish is a small complex with only 6 buildings which makes it a quiet and relaxed environment. You can even enjoy the shared pool by yourself on most days!
Guest Access
The apartment is entirely yours
Enjoy the shared pool with very laid back neighbors - great spot to informal witness!
A few steps from the condo is the wash house where you can drop off your laundry
You will have everything you need for a relaxed, private and fun stay.
Interaction with Guests
We will be your chauffeur! Enjoy a hassle free and seamless pick up from us, your brother and sister upon your arrival at the Puerto Plata airport. We will ensure that you will be able to pick up everything that you need for a comfortable start to your stay at the local grocery store which has many American European and international items stocked. We will also take you to the Puerto Plata airport for your departure flight at the end of your stay. We live only 10 minutes for the condo if you require assistance during your stay and we are always a phone call away.
Other Things to Note
it’s a good idea to download What’s App before your trip as most business and every brother and sister use it. It’s free and a great way to translate and communicate with locals if you don’t speak the language
The Neighborhood
You’ll love it! This area of the north coast, and Perla Marina community specifically, are the most sought after places to stay because of it’s safety, close proximity to the ocean, it’s very relaxed and you can walk for miles either on the beach, through beachside jungle trails, or on the quiet streets throughout Perla Marina.
Blue Fish is a gated complex with 24/7 security. Perla Marina also has 24/7 security so You can feel safe leaving the condo complex and joining other walkers or joggers enjoying the beautiful day. A great area for informal witnessing! The beach is most often empty, providing you with an amazing opportunity to meditate on Jehovahs absolutely spectacular creation or find a peaceful spot for Bible reading. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance along the beach - Natura Cabana, Maravilla Eco Lodge, Coconuts Restaurant (closest 8min to furthest 20min walk) Ceiba Pizza & BeachWalk Bar & Restaurant are a 7-8 minute walk through Perla Marina toward the entrance of the community
Getting Around
A Taxi will pick you up from the condo or you can walk 7-8 minutes to the highway where public transport is available daily and passes by early morning until dusk. A “Gua gua” A/C mini bus costs $35 DOP/person. If you stand beside the road they’ll stop to pick you up and drop you along the main road closest to your destination. The Kingdom Hall is 10 minutes from Perla Marina and the Gua gua drops you off only 2 minutes away. Youll see a huge sign “Testigos de Jehovah” directing you to us! (We will show you on our way to the condo after we pick you up from the airport :) You can even take this to Puerto Plata city, a 40 minute trip for more shopping, beaches, and service! You also have free parking in front of the condo if you decide to rent a vehicle (we can provide you info for a safe & affordable long or short term vehicle rental company who many of the friends use) Everything you will need is very close by! And it is simple and easy to get everywhere :)
